If you are a fan of Black Dagger Brotherhood or Midnight Breed Series then you will really love these books too. You will love this book.
READ IT. I think I read the book in two days and wanted more. From the Nightwalker series DAMIEN is one of my favorites. He is a very seductive, sensitive character who you want to know everything about.
I still think "Jacob" is the best of this series, but "Damien" comes very close. I loved the Vampire Prince and his Princess. They fell in love with out the angry drama. I can't believe the low ratings this book received. Now I am going to ignore the low ratings for "Noah" and read that book. I am so glad I stuck to my instincts. I almost did not read it because of those rating. This was a wonderfully romantic story.
While there were a couple of interesting battles, they were not of the same scale as seen in the previous books. I understand that the author was probably setting up the stage for Jasmine's own story, but I felt that it took the limelight away from Damien and Syreena. With the recent discovery of an ancient library, the Demon and Lycanthrope leaders deemed it necessary for each Nightwalker race to have a representative of their own. I liked how Frank really served up the romance in this book and the chemistry between the central characters really sizzled. I have read the first three books in the Nightwalker series and have grown to love the Demons who have so far been the focus in Jacquelyn Frank's supernatural world.
Admittedly, I was a little disappointed with the ending. There he meets Syreena, the Lycanthrope princess who has captivated him during their initial meeting recently. It didn't wow me like the other books did. Yet this complaint aside, DAMIEN was a pretty enjoyable read and I'm now about to start on Noah's story. Frank has really spent time developing Syreena and Damien's characters, along with some newly-introduced secondary characters. I was quite excited reading about the Nightwalker meeting.
While I am eager to read more about their lives, it was definitely a welcome change to have a vampire take center stage. When Syreena is taken by a renegade Demon and left brutally wounded, Damien ends up saving her. It was something I truly relished and I am eager to learn more about them. And it's not just any vampire, but the Prince himself. The author ups the ante with the introduction of the Shadowdwellers and two new Mistrals. Not only are they now both targeted by the crazed Demon, but they are also breaking every Vampire taboo by being together.I found that DAMIEN was more character-driven compared with the first three books.
After being approached by the Demon King, Damien travels to the library located at the Lycanthrope region accompanied by his selected representative, Jasmine. As they say, all hell breaks loose in more ways than one.
Frank has did an excellent job constructing her world. You'll have to read Jacob, Gideon and Elijah to understand all the little details of the series. The romance in this book isn't overdone and it actually has meaning to the action of the book. I look forward to reading Noah about the Demon King. I loved how Ruth is playing into their findings and can she be stopped. Jacquelyn Frank has outdone herself again in her Nightwalker series.
This is about Damien the Vampire Prince and how he finds his true love. Ms. This time she steps out of her Demon characters and into the Vampire and Were-Animal characters. This definitely isn't a stand alone book. I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for paranormal romance books. Yes, for those of you who love the Demons they are part of the book but they aren't a main character.
I loved all the politics in this book about how each separate society is ruled and can it be rule by another.
